Jeni Harnden-Koehler is the founder and president of the Talent Acceleration Group, a talent management consulting and executive coaching firm, which exists to enhance the strength of leaders, the growth of organizations and the efficacy of teams. Her specialties include creating highly experiential action learning development opportunities and leadership programs for rising high potential leaders. Dr. Harnden-Koehler works across all industries and with organizations of various sizes, ranging from small startups to large, established international corporations. She has worked extensively in financial services, biotech/pharma, healthcare, consumer products and retail as well as with technology, manufacturing and utility companies. Her clients include: Best Buy, Gillette, Fidelity Investments, Exelon, Lahey Health, and CVS.
While VP of Talent Management at Fidelity Investments, she focused on the development of high potentials and senior executives across the enterprise. She was instrumental in designing Fidelity's high potential program as well as their executive level development program. She specializes in creating action-oriented, hands-on leadership development programs in which people learn experientially to support true behavioral change and knowledge acquisition. Dr. Harnden-Koehler had a lead role in the creating their Leadership Success Profile and 360? feedback tool, which served as a framework for selection, development and talent management throughout the company. During the latter part of her tenure she supported all areas of talent management including: talent review and succession planning, performance management, leadership development, executive coaching and management training as well as HR Development.
Prior to joining Fidelity, Dr. Harnden-Koehler was an executive coach with RHR International, where she focused on enhancing the effectiveness of individuals and teams. At an individual level, she assessed and coached senior executives to develop stronger leadership skills in order to help them hit critical business objectives. She also assessed candidates for executive level positions to determine fit between the individual and the position. Following selection, she worked with the chosen leader to assist with integrating them into their new role to shorten their time to operational effectiveness. At a team level, she specialized in improving team functioning using real-time work as well as action-learning interventions that build team skills awhile accomplishing strategic business imperatives for their organization. During her tenure at RHR, Dr. Harnden-Koehler specialized in creating customized leadership development programs that emphasized learning through experience for leaders at all levels in multiple industries.
