Rob Salafia is the Founder & President of Protagonist Consulting Group, an arts-based learning company that employs the use of story to help leaders unlock potential, enhance performance and increase organizational contribution. Rob is highly skilled in uncovering knowledge and insights that are often buried within executives' experiences. He has a master's degree in Organizational Policy from Boston University and recently co-authored an article entitled, "Leadership Lessons on Purpose from the Silver Screen" with James Parker, Visiting Strategy Professor at Rotterdam School of Management, published by Switch & Shift, a #2 ranked Socially Shared Leadership blog.
For the past 15 years, Rob has designed and led highly rated transformative workshops for Fortune 500 company senior executives, including ING Bank, Sony Music Entertainment, American Express, Philips International, Alliance Bernstein, BASF, Abbott, Merrill Lynch, eBay, Fidelity, Royal Bank of Scotland, and Disney. For several of these organizations, his consulting work has spanned more than a decade and derives from a long-term relationship. For example, recently Rob oversaw the global delivery of a program for American Express titled "Leadership: Inspiring Employee Engagement." This integrated program for more than 2,000 leaders was co-led by Senior Vice Presidents and experiential workshop facilitators. He also just completed 13 programs for ING Bank serving the top 300 of the organization. For that program, he served as a large group presenter/facilitator as well as an executive coach.
Leading business schools have also had occasion to employ Rob to deliver experiential programs, serving global leaders. He has taught in a number of executive education programs at both the Harvard Business School and the MIT Sloan School of Management.
