Cayly Dixon is a consultant and trainer, working at the intersection of business strategy and knowledge management with learning and development. She helps clients design business processes and learning strategies in support of growth and change. In addition to delivering Leonard-Barton Group programs, Cayly facilitates multiple programs for Dale Carnegie and has developed proprietary training materials in leadership, sales and personal brand.
Cayly has enjoyed a diverse career in industries including software, consulting, oil and gas, land development, real estate investment, banking, media and not-for-profit organizations. Client companies include Energy Transfer, Suncor, Texon, CVS, ATB Financial, National Bank, CenterPoint (nonprofit), geoLOGIC Systems and the Calgary Herald.
An accomplished speaker, she has addressed topics related to knowledge management, branding and professional identity at a variety of conferences in both Canada and the U.S. She is a former President of the Association for Talent Development, Phoenix chapter, and Communications Chair for the knowledge management community of practice at Columbia University.
In 2017, Cayly earned her MS in Information and Knowledge Strategy from Columbia University. Her capstone project delivered a knowledge strategy-based framework for onboarding new hires at athenahealth (ATHN), a high-growth healthcare technology company. In 2013, she earned her Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP). Her BA in management and communications (2005) is from the University of Toronto, where she received honors, merit-based scholarships, and an award for leadership.
